Mark D. Sweeney, 65, of Winter, WI, died Monday, October 28, 2019, in Superior.

He was born in Burlington, VT, on July 30, 1954, the son of Albert and Anita Sweeney.

Mark served his country in the US Army.  After his service, he worked as a prison guard in Vermont and then was a Master Plumber for 25 years. He most recently worked for Cullum Constructors in Beaufort, South Carolina.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially deer hunting and fishing.  Mark was a member of the Winter American Legion Post #303 and the Superior Moose Lodge #606.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncle, Russell Sweeney.

Mark is survived by his wife of 15 years, Rose; daughters, Heather Kelly and Amanda Bell; grandchildren, Sonja, Raja, Tashia, Gabriel, and Jasmine; great-grandchild, Ryan; sister, Debbie (Jim Searles) Sweeney; mother-in-law, Roswitha Peters; and brother-in-law, Bob Bowman.

Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spooner, WI with military honors, at a later date.
