Martin "Marty" D. Stone, died Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Aspen Health and Rehab LLC (formerly Middle River), South Range, Wisconsin.

He was born on November 6, 1957, in Superior, son of Donald F. and Leona E. (Williams) Stone.

Marty worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Superior.

Some of his interests included traveling, gambling, motorcycling, snowmobiling and monster trucks. He loved people and was always very generous and willing to help those in need. Marty will be greatly missed.

Preceding him in death were his father, Donald F. Stone; stepfather, Wesley Hackensmith,Sr.; stepsiblings, Donald, Max, and Ron Hackensmith, and Gail Tate.

Marty is survived by his mother, Leona Hackensmith, Superior; siblings, Wayne (Donna) Stone, South Range, and Rita (Franklin) Keefer, Superior; stepsiblings, Richard Hackensmith, Wesley (Toni) Hackensmith, Jr., John (Mary) Hackensmith, and Vanessa Moore; niece, Cassie Evans; and nephews, Travis Stone and Joshua Keefer.

A celebration of Marty's life will be held on Saturday, May 10th from 1-4 p.m. at the Log Cabin Tavern, 2821 County Road E, South Range, Wisconsin.
