Marvel 'Joey' J. LaPorte, 68, of Superior, died Tuesday March 11, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Joey was born in Superior on October 6, 1956, the daughter of Miles and Joan (Burgess) Cockerham. She married Roger LaPorte on May 20, 1989.

She had worked at Head Start and Office Max. Joey loved gardening, canning, camping and going to concerts.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joey is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roger; daughter, Mariah Anderson; son, Josiah Anderson; and her brother, Gary (Melanie) Cockerham.

Following Joey's wishes, no services will be held.
