Mary A. Bullyan, 81, of Superior, left this world Friday, March 16, 2012, at her residence surrounded by loved ones.
She was born September 25, 1930 in Bemidji, MN, daughter of William and Mabel (Johnson) Short.
Mary was a cook for many years at Nopeming Nursing Home, Duluth, and the Billings Park Cafe, Superior.
Some of her interests included traveling, cooking, trips to the casino, and her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William in 1982; son, James William; sister, Betty Douglass; and brother, Billy Short.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie Waters, Lori Turner and Marilee Langley, all of Superior; grandchildren, Isadore Turner III, Korisha Bullyan, William "Buddy" Langley, Sharita Turner, James Waters, Madison Langley and Krista Waters; 5 great-grandchildren; goddaughter, Karan (George) Simonson; godson, Roger Bullyan; special son, Howie Ressler; 3 cousins; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and trusty companion, "Sponge Bob".
Mary was recently visited by nieces, Linda (Dick) Neiser of Maryland and Sharon (Bill) Hyde and Carrie Hyde of Florida, and many others who shared their love with a woman who was all about love and family.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held at a later date.
