Obituary

Mary A. Drobot, 89, of Superior, died Tuesday April 14, 2020 at Twin Ports Health and Rehab Center.

Mary was born in Detroit, MI on Dec. 21, 1930 the daughter of Antonina 'Antoinette' (Jaromin) and Joseph Baron.

She had worked as a CNA at Middle River Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Superior. She enjoyed preparing traditional Polish Christmas Eve vigil supper, Wigilia, with pierogi and baking traditional Polish Christmas cookies to donate to her church and for family. She also enjoyed gardening and volunteering at Church. Most important to her was spending time with her family and friends.

Our mother's life was best described in the following verse written by an unknown co-worker during her CNA tenure:

Mary Dear Mary

It's Mary Dear Mary, that wonderful nurse.

For her love and compassion, that I write this verse.

For nearly 22 long years, she has worked these floors.

Comforted the residents and tended their sores.

Changed their clothing and fed them their food.

Combed their hair and kept them all in a good mood.

She would never miss work. She always said;

"I'll never call in sick, unless I'm half dead".

Her loyalty and patience, an example for all

And in most people's eyes, she stands mighty tall.

So, God bless you dear Mary and as through life you go,

How much we will miss you, that you will never know!

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoinette and Joe; her husband, Paul; and two sons, Phillip and Patrick.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Sandra) Drobot of Muskego, WI, Russell (Mary) Drobot of Superior, WI, Maria (Rick) Plasch of South Range, WI, and Tim Drobot of Hayward, WI; grandchildren, Paul Jr and Steven Drobot, Ryan and April Johnson, Clarissa Erickson, Carey Drobot, Rico Mace, Jenna Ilves, Troy, Chad and Eric Plasch, Cara Wagner, and Michael, Tauri, Alan, Devon, Christopher and Elias Drobot; and many, many great-grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 and the governor's mandates, a private family service will be held.
