Mary E. Eastman, 72, of Superior, Wis. died Sun., March 21, 2010 surrounded by her family in St. Mary's Medical Center Hospice, Duluth, Minn.

Mary was born February 5, 1938 in Madison Wis. and lived most of her life in Superior.

She was a member of the Fond Du Lac Band of Chippewa where she was an elder.

She is survived her husband, Willie; her four children, Debbie and Tony Cabrera and Kacie McClelland all of Superior and Dennis (Elise) Stannard of Alvarado Minn.; grandchildren, Nancy (Brian) Wicklund, Ricki (Nathan) Trout, William and Sara Cabrera, Stephanie (Ryan) Hurley, Mary (Joey) Noel, Samantha, Alexandra and William McClelland and James Rice; great-grandchildren, Michael, Nikolas and Allison Valentine, Austin Cabrera and Avery Noel.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Nancy and James Mc Laughlin and a grandson, Anthony James Cabrera.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., with Fr. Peter Lambert officiating. Visitation will be at the Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Cabrera, Dennis Cronin, William Johnson, Joey Noel, Eric LeBlanc and Nathan Trout. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael and Nikolas Valentine, William McClelland, Austin Cabrera, James Rice and Avery Noel.
