Mary L. Giudici, 91, of Superior, died Friday, July 2, 2010 in St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth.
Mary was born in Gile, Wis. on August 31, 1918 the daughter of Emil and Louise Aimone.
She worked as a nanny for several years in Whitefish Bay, Wis. and during WWII she worked at Fisher Body where she assembled cannons for tanks. She later worked as a waitress for Coon's Resort in Manitowish Waters, Wis., and in Florida. In 1966, when the family moved to Superior, she worked in maintenance at UWS until her retirement in 1977. She was a hard worker and took pride in all she did.
She married Alex L. Giudici on July 3, 1948. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hurley and of Cathedral of Christ the King in Superior. Mary loved knitting, traveling and cooking. Most of all she enjoyed socializing with relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Alex on Sept. 19, 2008; her parents; brothers, Peter (Helmi) Aimone, Angelo (Rose) Aimone, Joseph Aimone, Emil Aimone, Jr.; sisters Angeline (Addison) DeOrio, and Caroline (Clarence) Bruneau; sister-in-law, Lucie (John) Adams; and brother-in-law Jean Lindsay.
She is survived her daughters; Pauline (Gene) Rhodes of Superior, Sheila (Dean) Bugni of Spooner; grandchildren, Craig (Kris) Lee of Edgerton, Wis., Carrie (Ky) Terrill of Chippewa Falls, Wis. and Kelly Bugni of Hudson, Wis., great-grandchildren, Peyton and Cameron Lee; sisters-in-law, Catherine Lindsay of Hermantown, Minn. and Shirley Aimone of Ironwood, Mich.; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
A graveside service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Hurley, Wis. for Mary and Alex, on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Noon with committal prayers by Rev. Fr. Mike Hayden of St. Mary's Church.
