Marylin Mae "Bird" Higgins, 83, of Superior, died Monday, February 3, 2014, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth, surrounded by her children.

She was born August 28, 1930, in Delft, Minnesota, daughter of William and Alice (Banks) Prigge.

In addition, she excelled at crocheting and knitting and blessed all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at birth with handmade afgans. She also made countless needlework projects and homemade patch quilts, her family continues to cherish.

Marylin also enjoyed time at the cabin with her children and grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Edward in 1983; daughters, Jill Marie in 1963 and Janet Lee in 1961; sister, Joyce Piggott; and brothers, William, Robert and Russel Prigge.
