Matthew G. Beckwell, 27, of Barnes, WI, died Friday, August 11, 2017.

He was born in Duluth on February 9, 1990, the son of Joshua Johnson and Lynette Beckwell.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bonnie Buck; paternal grandmother, Nancy Johnson; paternal grandfather, Guy Johnson; maternal step-grandfather, Joe Buck; and maternal step-grandmother, Alice Beckwell.

Matt is survived by his parents; sister, Brooklyn Holmstrom and Ariaunna Bergman, both of Barnes, WI; and maternal grandfather, Carl Beckwell of Superior.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
