Matthew D. Plesko, 21, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in his home.

Matthew was born November 4, 2004, in Duluth, MN to Jacquelyn Walters and Gary Plesko.

He graduated from Superior High School in 2023 with honors. Matthew was active in the theater program in high school. He was currently enrolled in the University of Oshkosh and was on the Dean’s List, and a member of the Anthropology Club.

Matthew was passionate about reading and had a vey large collection of books. He enjoyed the outdoors and was eager to search for bones whenever he had the chance.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Peter, and Angeline Plesko.

He is survived by his father, Gary Plesko; his mother, Jacquelyn Plesko; his brother, Isaac Plesko; his sister, Emilyn Walters; his grandparents, Donald, Sr., and Georgia Walters; his uncles, Donald (Cole Rogers) Walters, Jr., and Jeff (Susan) Plesko and his cousins, Mackenzie, and Tyler.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, 320 N. 28th St., Superior, WI., with Pastor Kirk Sheild officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
