Melinda 'Mindy' M. Bourque-Miner, 39, of Superior, died unexpectedly on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, surrounded by her family.

Melinda was born in Shelbyville, Tennessee on June 25, 1980. She served her country enlisting in the US Army and was honorably discharged. She married Justin Miner on August 25, 2012.

She had most recently worked at the Hampton Inn, Superior.

She loved to watch movies, listen to music and sing Karaoke. She enjoyed taking her kids to football games. Most important to her was her family, especially anything to do with her kids.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Joshua Knutson, and maternal grandparents, Jay Geary and Dorothy McGowan.

Melinda is survived by her husband, Justin; children, Emaleigh McGowan, Abigail Bourque, Adam Smith and Michael Miner; parents, Kelly and Jim Burger; brothers, Frank McGowan II, Justin Knutson, and Zachary Burger; mother & father-in-law, Sherry and John Pallas; sisters-in-law, Jackie Miner and Jessica Stewart; and her fur babies, Lenny, Odin, and Chaos.

Visitation will be on Thursday Nov. 7 ^th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday Nov. 8 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St., Superior.

Military Honors will be accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Melinda's family.
