Obituary

Melvin P. Warring, 84, of Foxboro, died Monday June 13, 2022, at his residence surrounded by family.

Melvin was born in Superior on Feb. 16, 1938, the son of Ray and Irene (Orlowski) Warring. He married the love of his life, Hansine 'Joan' Johnson on Feb. 7, 1958, and they celebrated 64 years of marriage.

He worked for many years as a welder and foreman for Fraser Shipyards and enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the boats he worked on.

Melvin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling, especially on his 80 acres of forest which provided countless hours of family fun and memories to last a lifetime. He and Joan bowled for 30 years and after retirement enjoyed going dancing weekly, having made many special friendships along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert (Renee) Warring; and sisters, Ruby and Arlene Warring.

Melvin is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Terry (Bonnie) Warring of Bremerton, WA, Roy (Lisa) Warring of Foxboro, Brenda (John) Dalpiaz of Foxboro, Kay (Rick) Bramm of West Bend, WI, and Susan (Kevin) Kubat of Brook Park, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer, Nate, Celeste, Anthony, Christina, Tracy, Melissa, Timothy, Candace, Kevin, Marie, Elizabeth, Michelle, Melinda, and Megan; 26 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 18 th from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th St. Rev. Darrell Kyle will officiate.
