Michael B. Breitzmann, 65, of Solon Springs, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation after complications from PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy).

He was born in Duluth on April 22, 1952, the son of Warner and Geraldine Breitzmann.

He graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1970 and went on to earn a Bachelor's of Science degree from UWS in 1975.  He worked in sales for Pella Windows and most recently as a sales manager for Superior Glass, Inc.

Mike believed in giving back and was a member of the Rotary and was on the board of directors for Greenwood Cemetery.

He was in a men's league for bowling, and golf at Hidden Greens in Solon Springs, and enjoyed snowmobiling and ice fishing.  Mike was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Brewers.  He enjoyed watching dirt track and NASCAR racing.

He was a skilled and capable maker, having built their log home and was always working on something or tinkering in the garage.  In recent years Mike and Nancy enjoyed traveling in their motor home. Most of all, he loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years, Nancy; children, Matthew Breitzmann of Minneapolis, and Eric Breitzmann of Superior; grandchildren, Lake, Ari, and Mila; father, Warner; and brother, Anthony Breitzmann of Lake Nebagamon.

A celebration of Michael's life will be on Tuesday Sept. 12th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Barker's Island Inn and Convention Center.  A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Gary Banker.

His grin and infectious laugh will be missed.

In lieu of flowers donations be made to Superior High School Scholarship Fund.
