Obituary

Michael W. Christianson, 65, of South Range, died Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Essentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

He was born October 27, 1958, in Spooner, Wisconsin, son of Andrew N. and Alice M. (Roberts) Christianson.

Michael proudly served his country with the United State Marine Corps and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

Mike worked a variety of jobs including the railroad, refinery, a physical therapist assistant, and a C.N.A.

He enjoyed collecting guns, knives, and coins, watching Jeopardy, hunting, fishing, playing pool, reading westerns, and listening to music from the '70's. He was a HUGE Packers fan which could get interesting since many in his family liked the Vikings.  He also liked to watch the Brewers games.

On November 25, 1978, in Hayward, Michael W. Christianson and Joan A. Ross were united in marriage.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Joan; and brother, Scott.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole (Shyloh) Schuman; son, Jarrad Christianson; grandchildren, Elijah, Lacey, Ayden, Devin, Kylie and Danica; great-grandchildren, Lilly and Waylon; sister, Vanessa Harrison; brothers, Charles (Laura) Christianson, and Andrew (Dawn) Christianson, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held at a later date.
