Michael Ladich, 88, of Superior, died Monday, March 31, 2014 at Middle River Health and Rehab Center.

Michael was born on Sept. 20, 1925 in Superior, the son of Amelia "Milka" and Peter Ladich.  He served his country during WWII enlisting in the Navy. He landed on the beach of Normandy and achieved the rank of Seaman First Class.

He had worked for the Railroad and then as a Longshoreman with ILA 1037 for 50 years.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lillian; and two sisters, Joyce and Elizabeth.

He is survived by a brother, Stan (Maurine) Ladich of Lake Nebagamon and their family.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery on Wednesday, April 9 at 11:00 a.m.
