Michael R. Spinner, 69, of Superior, died unexpectedly on December 20, 2023, in his residence.

He was born in Bemidji, MN on February 27, 1954, the son of Gladys (Wallin) and Rudolph 'Rudy' Spinner.

Mike was a long-term employee at Menards, working there for over 22 years, starting in West Duluth then transferring to the Superior Menards when they opened.

Some of his interests included woodworking, music, gardening, bicycling, kayaking, and spending time outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling and making wine with his best friend, Josie Hoem. Most important to him was family, especially his grandchildren.

He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Superior.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Spinner; sister, Vicki Koski; and his canine companion, Gobi.

Survivors include his sons, Jeremy (Bernadine) Spinner of Duluth, and Kyle Spinner of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Alyssa Danielson of Duluth; grandchildren, Katlin Maciejeski, Nathan Danielson, Tilden Spinner, and Solina Spinner; friend and mother of his children, Lynn Danielson of Superior; brother, Jim (Nancy) Koski of Rockport, TX; nieces and nephews; and best friend, Josie Hoem.

A Celebration of Mike's life will be held on Wednesday, January 10th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. with a short service at 2:00 p.m. and coffee and dessert to follow at Bethel Lutheran Church, 5821 John Ave., Superior.
