Mildred M. "Midge" Cheever, 85, of Superior, Wis. died Fri., June 25, 2010 in her residence.

Midge was born Jan. 15, 1925 in Chittamo, Wis. and had been a longtime Superior resident.

She had been employed by Royalton Manor as a kitchen aid.

Midge is survived by her children, Dennis and Robert Cheever both in California, Terrence (Hye Kyong), Kevin and Debra Cheever all of Superior, Tamara Campbell of Superior and Gail Trombley of South Range, Wis.; grandchildren, Taylor Disberry, Kaytlynn Nelson, Nikki Gonalakis, and Shayla, Michael and Crystal Cheever, Robert and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Naytasha, Nikolas, Zachariah, Kyra, Elijah, Kristen, Breeanna, Ryliegh and Jay Jay; brothers, Dick Clark of Duluth, Minn. and Alvin Clark of Staten Island, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Andrew Clark and her siblings, George, Gladys, Arvilla, Lillian, Andrew, Allen and Ray.

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Ave. & 19th St., with Pastor Laurence Goebel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Minong, Wis.

Pallbearers will be Nikki Gonalakis, William Witt, Kyra Gonalakis, Terry Cheever, Dick Clark and Kyle Krivinchuk. Taylor Disberry will be an honorary pallbearer.
