Mildred "Millie" Score, 96, of Superior, died peacefully Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Essentia Health-Superior, surrounded by her family.

She was born September 22, 1924 in Superior, daughter of Carl and Anna (Traen) Danielsen.

Millie was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and its altar guild, Sons of Norway, Elks Lodge # 403, Chapter AD-BG P.E.O., and volunteered many years at Essentia Health-Superior and back when it was St. Mary's Hospital, Superior.

One of her favorite activities was helping with the weekly football picks. Yes, for years and years Millie and Wally would spend hours every week, during the football season, working on the picks. After Wally's death, Millie became the executive secretary of the football cartel.

Millie was the Douglas County Register in Probate for judges Cirilli and Lucci.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Wally in 1999; and brother, Douglas (Lucy) Danielsen.

Survivors include her son, Douglas (Mary) Score, Superior; grandchildren, Matt (Rena) Verdoljak, Superior, Corey (Brianna) Verdoljak, Homer, Alaska and Brule, WI, and Rachel (Mike) Burkholder, Boise, Idaho; great-grandchildren, Madeline Verdoljak, Lauren Verdoljak, Hunter Verdoljak, Warren Burkholder and Evelyn Burkholder; nephew, Carl Danielsen, New York, NY; cousin, Barbara Fredin, Oshkosh, WI; and special friend, Peggy Duffy, Superior.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Superior. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., for family and those with close relationship, with Reverend Michelle Rowell, pastor of Concordia Lutheran Church officiating.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Superior.

Pallbearers will be Matt and Rena Verdoljak, Corey and Brianna Verdoljak, and Rachel and Mike Burkholder.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Concordia Cares Endowment Fund of Concordia Lutheran Church.
