Mildred R. Stasiak, 94, formerly of Superior, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center, Minn.
Mildred was born in Superior on Jan. 25, 1919 the daughter of Joseph and Emma Cloutier.
She had worked as a welderette at Fraser Shipyards during WWII and then she was a beautician at Sylvia's Beauty Shop.
Mildred and her husband Frank lived in the East End of Superior until his death. She then lived in South End until she moved to Maple Grove with her son David. She enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. She was very active at Pattison Park Golf Course serving as President of their women's league and was also a scorekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 33 years, Frank; and a brother, Conrad Cloutier.
Mildred is survived by her son David Stasiak of Maple Grove, Minn.; niece, Connie Jo Ashby of Tacoma Wash.; great-niece, Kasey Ashby; and sister-in-law Irene Cloutier.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 1:30pm at Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. Rev. Fr. James Tobolski of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
