Milford L. Jamison, 69, of Superior, died surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
He was born May 19, 1944 in Marion, Alabama, son of Norman and Ethel (Perry) Jamison. In 1962 he moved to Superior and loved life in northern Wisconsin.
On May 15, 1979, in Duluth, MN, Milford Jamison and Lori Foerst were united in marriage.
Milford was an avid Packer fan and loved to cook, entertain and work on old cars. However, his greatest enjoyment came from time spent with his grandchildren.
His work history started at the Patio Café, Superior, and then he worked at both Superior Fiber Products for over 30 years and the Green Top Restaurant in Iron River.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Sandy Heck; son, Duane Wiitanen; and brother, Preston "Shot" Jamison.
Survivors include his wife of over 34 years, Lori; son, Milford Jamison, Jr., Pick
City, ND; daughters, Angela Fetters, Carlton, MN, Kelly Dempski, Zimmerman, MN, Terri Lane, Elizabethton, TN, and Kathryn Ray, Bakersfield, CA; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Darnell Moore, Jean Phillips, Ernestine Headd and Patricia Hill, all of Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service, Friday, November 22, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.
The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers.
