Monte R. Anderson, 52, of Maple, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 31, 2023, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Monte was born in Cloquet, MN, on Sept. 10, 1970, the son of Charles and Beverly (Saaristo) Anderson. He graduated from Cloquet High School with the class of 1989.

He most recently worked for Miners Inc. as a diesel mechanic. He had also owned and operated Blackhoof Trucking.

Monte enjoyed shooting bow and arrow, guns, and going deer hunting. He also enjoyed driving truck and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Swanson; and brother, Martin Anderson.

Monte is survived by his wife of 9 years, Michelle; son, Cody (Jess) Anderson of Cloquet; daughter, Catey Anderson of Cloquet; stepson, Logan DeGrugillier of Duluth; grandsons, Jaxon and Elliot; siblings, Mike Anderson, Debbie Anderson, and Chuck Anderson; and many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 9th from 1:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. funeral service at Bayside Baptist Church, 3915 N 16th St., Superior, with Pastor Mark Pavola as officiant.
