Obituary

Myron C. Bergstrom, 87, of Superior, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by his children.

He was born on April 10, 1930, the son of Sherman and Nina Bergstrom.

Myron actively served his country in the Air National Guard.  He retired from U.S. Steel as a fuel engineer and was a business owner in Superior and Ashland.

He was a member of the Elks and Moose Lodge for most of his life.

Myron enjoyed being with his family playing smear, going for rides, and watching the Green Bay Packers.  He was most relaxed spending time at his lake home tinkering on projects and socializing with the neighbors.  He will mostly be remembered for his generous, and good natured personality. He treated everyone he met with respect and dignity and was always ready to help a friend in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, June, Betty, May, Donna, Elaine, and Reuben; his second wife, Sandra, and his best friend and companion, Nancy Bergstrom.

Myron is survived by his sons, Pat (Barb) Bergstrom of South Range, and Mike (Linda) Bergstrom of Superior; daughters, Becky (Rick) Ullan of Lake Nebagamon, Judy (Doug Hammer) O'Connell of Superior, Ann Sislo of DePere, WI, Debbie (Nick) Zime of Barnum, MN, and Jessica (Josh ) Heck of Florida; grandchildren, Myron Bergstrom, Patrick Bergstrom, Corey Bergstrom, April Bergstrom, Mike Bergstrom II, Carrie (Justin) Dittmar, Katie (Brian) Sorensen, Kelly Bergstrom, Billy O'Connell, Nick O'Connell, Dani (Preston) Mikula, Justin O'Connell, Christina (Jon) Christensen, Hannah Sislo, Andrew Sislo, Sister Magnificat Maria (Brittany) Zime, Tori Zime, Macy Heck, and Morgan Heck; great-grandchildren, Melody Bee Bergstrom, Sidney Bergstrom, Trevor Bergstrom, Greta Bergstrom, Jence Sorensen, Annabelle Sorensen, and baby Mikula; siblings, Lloyd Bergstrom of Milwaukee, Beatrice Leneman of Arizona, and JoAnne Beck of Cromwell, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be on Saturday, September 30, from 11:00 a.m. until the noon service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 th Street.  Pastor Sarah Kerkes officiating.  Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be his sons-in-law, Rick Ullan, Nick Zime, Josh Heck, and Doug Hammer.
