Nancy L. Peterson, 83, of Superior passed away on December 11, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Nancy was born on Dec. 7, 1935 the daughter of Arthur and Helen Peters. She was a lifelong resident of Superior, with the exception of a few years away due to Air Force duty for her husband, Roy.

Nancy was a longtime and active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Billings Park. She loved all animals especially dogs.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, son David, and siblings Dale, Lois, Dick and Jim.

Nancy is survived by two sons, Scott of Westminster, Colorado and Robert (Laura) of Broomfield, Colorado; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kate, and Ben; and family, James and Cheryl Harkabus of Superior.

Visitation will be held on Friday Dec. 14 ^th from 3:00 pm until the 4:00 pm funeral service at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19 ^th St., Superior. Rev. Alan Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Douglas County Humane Society.
