Norma M. Kronlund, 85, of Superior, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.

She was born March 28, 1925 in Clark, S.D., daughter of Guy and Viola (Romans) Acker.

For a number of years, Norma worked as a cook and desk clerk at the Manning Motel.

Norma was a former member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Superior.

She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, and harvesting apples from her apple trees for apple butter, sauce, crisp and pies. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Dale in 1999; daughter, Linda Wyss; 3 brothers, Herbert, Lee and Gail Acker; and sister, Marcella Sitek.

Survivors include her daughter, Irene (Larry) Conklin, Superior; granddaughters, Tammy (Brian) Anderson, Elk River, MN, Sheila St. John, Greenfield, IN, Rhonda (Brad) Arnes, Foxboro, WI, Tracy (Dennis) Tollers, Maple, WI, and Kim (Jason) Seguin, Duluth, MN; 10 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Brandon, Shawna, Kaelamae, Nicole, Nathan, Neely, Victoria, Jaxson and Eli; several nieces and nephews; and her special canine friend, Bosco.

The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. The service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home, with Reverend Sarah Kerkes officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Irene Conklin, Larry Conklin, Brian Anderson, Rhonda Arnes, Brad Arnes and Zachary Yepma. Honorary pallbearers will be Norma's great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
