Patricia Anne Carlson, 82, of Lindstrom, MN, and formerly of Superior, died Monday, August 6, 2018, at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis, following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 12, 1935, in Spooner, WI, daughter of Kenneth Platz and Helen (Scanlon) Griffin.

In addition to her role as homemaker, Pat served many years on the Superior Board of Education, including the office of president. She was a life member of the PTA and served numerous years with the Douglas County Homemakers and Lions Club. She especially enjoyed working with her husband, Bonar, on over 10 trips with the Lions Mission to Mexico, bringing free eyeglasses to thousands of Mexican residents.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bonar; significant other, Robert Dorner; and sister, Carol Nyberg.

Survivors include her daughters, Paula (Randy) Lindberg, Foxboro, Sandy Carlson, Lindstrom, MN, Gayle Carlson-General, Mission, TX, and Pam (Bob) Dorner, St. Paul, MN; grandchildren, Ari Carlson, Krissy Carlson, Ryan (Jen) Lindberg, Laura Lindberg, and Cassie (Brandon) Rosendahl; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Brooke, Kaleb, Kylee, Paige, Dustin, Avah, Noah, Blake, Hannah, Hailey, and another in January; sisters, Kathy Kadlecek and Carol Peters; brothers, Ted Platz and David Griffin; special cousin, Linda Perkovich; and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 celebration of life, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at V.I.P., 1201 Tower Avenue, Superior, with Gary Banker officiating.
