Patricia E. "Pat" Thomas, 71, of Superior, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior.

She was born May 2, 1940 in Duluth, daughter of Edwin and Rose (Malzac) Bodin.

Pat worked many years in housekeeping at Miller-Dwan Hospital, Duluth, and continued to be a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ida and Robin; and brothers, Gilbert and Edwin.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis (John Quinn) Busche, Pamela Thomas, Frances (Chip) Walsh, Patricia Hall and Lynda (Amos) Davis, all of Superior, and April Thomas, Duluth; sons, John Thomas, Jr., and Robert Thomas, both of Superior; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Bodin, Esko, MN; sister-in-law, Char Bodin, Duluth; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She enjoyed reading books, solving puzzles, holiday baking, and watching Turner Classic Movies. Pat was an avid Bingo player at Villa Marina and enjoyed shopping for collectables at her daughters' houses. She loved being surrounded by family and friends enjoying good food and conversation.

The visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, with Reverend Jason Rhoads officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Pallbearers will be Michael Davis, Chad, Troy, Richard, Jason, Andrew, Chris and Jeffery Thomas.
