November 6, 1948 – October 11, 2023
Patricia 'Pat' J. Passero, 74, lifelong resident of Superior, died Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Twin Ports Health Services.
Patricia was born in Superior on Nov. 6, 1948, the daughter of Fred and Joanne (Gradin) Laberdie.
She attended Superior High School and was in the first graduating class of 1966. Pat was proud to go back to school later on in life to earn her bachelor's degree in education from UW- Superior.
Pat taught preschool and 5th grade at Cathedral School for many years. She also spent years working in the group home setting.
Pat enjoyed shopping, traveling, crafts, and collecting pigs, but spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do. She was heavily involved in the Pattison PTA and had served as president. She was also a member of many teacher organizations and the Red Hat Society. Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Twin Ports Health Services who made Pat's last few years some of the best of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Joanne, and brother, Dennis Laberdie.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Niki (Brad) Laakso of Superior; son, Vincent Passero of St. Petersburg, FL; brother, Jerry (Laura) Laberdie of Superior; grandchildren, Grace Laakso, Connor (Raena) Laakso, and Nicholas Passero; and a great-granddaughter to be.
Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 19th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of Christ the King Church with Fr. Andrew P. Ricci as celebrant. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
If desired, memorials in Pat's name may be made to Twin Ports Health Services, 1612 N 37th St., Superior.
