Patricia J. Murphy, 97, of Superior, died Thursday Sept. 3, 2020 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Patricia was born in Superior on Feb. 3, 1923 the daughter of Elsie (Young) and Conrad Melberg.

She was a member of the Duluth Women's Club, Superior Garden Club, and the Northland Country Club. Patricia enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, cooking, and reading.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gordon Melberg, and husband, William C. Murphy.

Patricia is survived by her children, Patricia (Charles) Luckenbill, Mary Katherine (Tom) Fortney, William C. (Donna) Murphy, Elizabeth (Fred) Franchi, and John Murphy; grandchildren, Evan, Patrick, and Katherine E. Luckenbill, Cullen & Michael Fortney, Lauren & Brenna Franchi, Ethan and Joseph Murphy; and great grandchildren, Presley and Breckin Luckenbill.

A private family graveside will be held at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci officiating.
