Patricia "Patty" Sue Shaw, 65, of Superior, WI, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, MN.

Patty was born on April 4, 1960, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of William and Margaret (Swayze) Reliford. She graduated from Calhoun High School in Hardin, IL, in 1979 and attended Gem City College in Quincy, IL, where she met her husband, David "Steve" Shaw, in horology class. The two married on July 17, 1982, and recently celebrated 43 years of marriage together.

Patty was fun and loving, with a sense of adventure that shined brightly when she was younger. As time went on, she became more of a homebody, enjoying the comfort and closeness of her family. Known for her sharp wit and stubborn streak, she had a way of making her presence known and keeping life interesting.

She enjoyed playing the flute and piccolo, cross-stitching, sewing, making homemade egg noodles, going on long drives, and spending time with her family. Patty was also an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, where she served on the Board of Deacons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and William Reliford.

Patty is survived by her husband, Steve; daughters, Marilyn (Robert) Schuh of Beloit, WI, Amanda Shaw of Menomonee, WI, and Stephanie Shaw of Superior, WI; sister, Peggy Reliford of Peoria, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her unique personality and the love she shared with them.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday August 23rd at 2:00 p.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1924 Wyoming Ave., Superior, WI, with Pastor Sean Koos officiating.
