Patricia Ann (Smith) Wermter, 89 passed away peacefully Saturday, April 30, 2022, at her daughter Annie's house.  She was born in Superior, WI on November 3, 1932, the daughter of Richard, Sr., and Nellie (Thompson) Smith. Patricia married Marvin Frank Wermter on February 22, 1958, at Christ Lutheran Church in Superior, enjoying 55 years together before his passing in 2013.

Patricia did a lot of babysitting and worked in bakery retail until getting married.  She then stayed home tending to their four girls and worked alongside Marvin on the farm where they spent their life until his passing.

Patricia was an avid quilter winning many ribbons on her work, she loved every craft but sewing was her passion.  She also enjoyed gardening and tending her roses as well as hunting with Marvin.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin of 55 years; a daughter, Merri (Wermter) Pattee; stepmother, Florence Smith; brothers, Gary, Richard, Jr., and Donald; sister in-law, Donna Smith and special sister friend, Della Windsor.  Survivors include her daughters, Bonita "Bonnie" Fudally of South Range, Annie Taylor of Lake Nebagamon and Tina Jenson of Hawthorne; son in-law, Donald Pattee of South Range; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; her special sister friends, Millie Windsor, Sandra Coleman, and Lois Larson.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Mission Covenant Church, 5161 S. County Road P, Poplar, WI.  A public visitation will be held in the church from 10:30 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m., a luncheon to follow. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery following the service.
