Obituary

Paul A. Adolphson, 69, of Superior, passed away on August 1, 2025, at Twin Ports Health Services, Superior.

Paul was born in Superior on October 4, 1955, the son of Herbert and Ivaloe (Thompson) Adolphson. He served his country enlisting in the US Army. He was employed at Halvor Lines and Saratoga Liquor as a Truck Driver and Jerry Hammond Trucking as a Diesel Mechanic.

Paul loved working in the garage whether it was working on vehicles or building something out of wood. He loved to decorate the yard for Halloween and Christmas. He loved to go fishing, 4-wheeling, camping, hunting, and listening to country music. The last few years he loved going to their camper at Flying Eagle Resort and helping out or sitting around with his camper friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dave Adolphson in 2007 and Rick Adolphson in 2015; sisters, Linda Adolphson in 2015, Nancy Adolphson in 2023, and baby Kristen Adolphson; brothers-in-law, Gary Berggren in 2009, Dan Hoeffling in 2020, Steve Arnes in 2015, and Larry Polaski.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia (Faugerstrom); sons, Nicholas (Michelle Lozer) Adolphson, Nathan Adolphson, and Niegel Adolphson all of Superior; grandchildren, Zoey, Theodore, Avery, Faythe, Serenity, and McKinley; brother, John (Chris Adolphson, South Range; sisters, Karen Berggren of Superior, Mary (Ron) Terry of Gordon and Sue Hoeffling of Texas; sisters-in-law, Stella Adolphson of Lake Nebagamon, Lou Arnes of Oulu, and Donna Faugerstrom of Duluth; brothers-in-law, Mike (Jan) Polaski of Superior, David Polaski of Superior, Jay (Donna) Faugerstrom of Lakeside, WI, and Lee (Cindy) Faugerstrom of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday August 30th from 11:00 a.m. until the Noon funeral service at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S Darrow Rd, Superior, with Pastor John Fleming.

Burial will be at a later date in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Twin Ports Health and Essentia Hospice for their wonderful care of Paul.
