Paul E. Cordts, 75, of Lake Minnesuing, WI, died unexpectedly on Friday, September 29, 2017 after an accident in the woods.
Paul was born in Washburn, WI on Jan. 6, 1942 the son of Fred and Edna Cordts. He graduated from Central H.S. in Superior with the class of 1961.
He married Joan Beckwell on Aug. 26, 1967 and they recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Paul enjoyed many outdoor activities including; hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and berry picking. He also enjoyed classic cars and playing cards. You could often find him in the garage working on his latest project as he was a creative handyman. Most important to him were his family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren was his special joy. He had the gift of service and loved helping others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Stan, Herb, Margaret and Robert.
Paul is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Tyra (Ernest) Newman of Lake Minnesuing, Tiffany (Brent) Francisco of Duluth, and Wade (Teresa) Cordts of Los Angeles; grandchildren, Cole, Rynn and Isla; brothers Fred Cordts, Carl (Crys) Cordts, and Lorry 'Butch' (Barb) Cordts; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Lucy) Beckwell and Rudy (JoAnn) Beckwell; sister-in-law, Judy Cordts; special family member, Ron Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Paul's Life will be held on Sat. Oct 14, at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Covenant Church in Poplar. Pastor James Walsh will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Covenant Park Camp, c/o Mission Covenant Church, 5161 S County Rd P, Poplar, WI 54864 or to the Bennett Volunteer Fire Department.
