Peggy Lynn Mattson, 75, of Superior, WI, died Monday, October 25, 2021, at her residence.

She was born on August 20, 1946, in Ashland, WI, the daughter of Helen (Freascher) Revolinski and Edward Revolinski Whitebird.

Peggy bartended for many years and was one of the best around and raised 4 children.  Peggy loved flowers and gardening, she had beautiful gardens.  She was passionate about horses her whole life and enjoyed many hours on horseback.  She loved and owned many dogs and loved all animals.  She enjoyed watching her hummingbirds out the window and was extremely excited when her pileated woodpecker would visit.

She loved watching her children play softball and everyone around knew she was there as she cheered loudly and enthusiastically for her teams and children.  Peggy was vibrant and loved with all her heart.  She "fostered" many children that weren't hers with just as much love as they could take.  She will be missed by any who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandy McConnell; and niece, Terri McConnell.

Survivors include her beloved partner, Tom Eckberg; sons, Shawn Mattson of North Carolina, and Dennis (Traci Roske) Mattson of South Range, WI; daughters, Dawn (Gary) Christianson of Lake Nebagamon, and Rhonda Mattson of Superior; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy, Christina, Aleesha, Jared, Jace, Trista, Alex, Austin, Rhianna, Ashley, Samantha and Shawn; 12 great-grandchildren; and step-children, Drew (Kelly)Vig and Kathleen Eckberg.
