Obituary

Phyllis M. Moen, 82, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 surrounded by her family at home.

She was born in Superior on April 7, 1938, the daughter of Leonard and Gladys (Box) Wick.

Phyllis graduated from Central High School in 1957, was a Master Gardener, a member of the Lake Superior Garden Club, a member of the Pattison Park Lioness Club, and worked at Dan's Feed Bin.

She married Raymond Moen, the love of her life on Dec. 18, 1971. They had 41 happy years together. Phyllis and Ray owned and operated Ray's Bar in downtown Pattison Park for 38 years.

She was an avid animal lover, enjoyed taking care of her birds, and took pride in caring for her lawn and flower beds. She also enjoyed traveling and took several bus trips with her sister Lily.

Phyllis was a strong, caring, compassionate person who loved her family and lived life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by us all.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Kimberlee Scott of Iron River, WI and Pamela (Brian) Zitelman of La Crosse, WI; stepchildren, Steven Moen, Kimberly (Steve Terhune) Moen, and Kelli (Dale) Hashey, 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Lillian (Gerald) Olson; and her beloved cats, Bootsie and Blackie.

A celebration of Phyllis' life will be held on Saturday, May 22, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Superior Town Hall.
