Rachel E. Maki's Obituary
Rachel E. Maki, 71, of Superior, died Friday, August 7, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital, Duluth.
She was born July 27, 1938 in Superior, daughter of Martha (Jarvi) and Waino Maki.
Rachel was an English and Journalism teacher at various high schools, including the high school in Forest Lake, Minnesota, where she taught for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her brothers, Philip W. and Marcus W. Maki, both of Superior; and several cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior.
Private graveside services will be Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery, Maple.
