Raelyn Jean TePoel, 7, of South Range, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, surrounded by her loving family.
Raelyn was born in Duluth on June 11, 2019, the daughter of Nicole and Thomas “TJ” TePoel.
From the time she was just two months old, Raelyn faced health challenges that would become part of her life's journey. Raelyn had a way of surprising everyone, accomplishing things doctors once thought might never be possible. She made the most of her seven years, filling them with love, laughter, and special moments.
Raelyn found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved music and dancing, listening to stories being read to her, and especially spending time playing and being around other children. Her joyful spirit and determination touched the hearts of those around her, and she brought so much happiness to the people who loved her. Though her time here was far too short, Raelyn filled her seven years with a lifetime of love and memories that her family will forever cherish.
She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Tom (Helvie) TePoel, Bing Hanson, and Ginny Booker; great uncles, Brian Booker and Dean TePoel; uncle, Nathan Meyers; and cousin, Bailey Eich.
Raelyn is survived by her mom and dad, Nicole and TJ TePoel; big sister, Adley TePoel; maternal grandparents, Tracey (Dave) Olson and Mike (LaNae) Booker; paternal grandparents Dave and Mary “CeeCee” TePoel; great grandparents, Mary Hanson, Patricia and Bear Moreland, and Anthony Booker; aunts and uncles, Cody (Kallie) TePoel, Jesse (Jenna) TePoel, Darin TePoel, and Sheila (Jason) Eich; and many cousins and extended family.
A Celebration of Raelyn’s Life will be held on Saturday October 24th from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. at The Grainary, 4346 County Rd P, Poplar, WI 54864.
Raelyn’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at the University of MN Masonic Children’s Hospital and to the Ronald McDonald House for their wonderful care and support.
