Ralph E. Wicklund's Obituary
Ralph E. Wicklund, 74, of Superior, died Wednesday May 12, 2010 at Villa Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ralph was born on July 30, 1935 the son of Ruby V. (Wolford) and Emil B. Wicklund.
He married the former Phyllis E. Lukkarila on February 15, 1958 at Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior.
Ralph was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and of the Laborers' Union Local #1091.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time with his family.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; a brother John and a sister Marvel; and three nephews Timothy, Stephen and Michael.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis; three sons, Allan (Lisa) of Dallas, Tex., Thomas of Superior and Randy of Duluth; three grandchildren, Jessa, Adam and Meredith; three brothers, Carl (Sylvia) of Leesburg, Fla., Dennis (Katherine) of South Range and Daniel (Susan) of Superior; a sister-in-law Joanne of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Sarah Larsen, pastor of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Downs Funeral Home, corner of 19th St. and Ogden Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
