Randolph 'Randy' R. Morgel, 67, of Iron River, WI and formerly of Hermantown, MN, died Saturday January 14, 2023, from complications of cancer.

Randy was born in St. Paul, MN on June 29, 1955, the son of Louis and Gladys (Korneck) Morgel.

He loved being outdoors whether he was working on his garden, milling wood on his sawmill, or playing on his tractor but his passion and "happy place" was fishing, especially on Lake Superior and he enjoyed many trips with all his fishing buddies.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy is survived by his wife of 20 years, June Anderson; daughters, Hannah (Keith) Hougo of Crystal, MN and Holly Morgel of Blaine, MN; son, Derrick (Nicole) Anderson of St. Joseph, MN; grandchildren, Jordyn, Evie, Harper, Hadley, and Caleb; sisters, Karen (John) Auger of Inver Grove Heights, MN and Judy Morgel of Mendota Heights, MN; and his best friend, Todd Dudley of Hermantown, MN.

A Celebration of Randy's Life will be held on Saturday, January 28th at 2:00 p.m. at the Battle Axe Saloon, 7520 US Highway 2, Iron River, WI 54847
