Randy H. Ayers, 72, of Summit Township, died Friday May 30, 2025, at Aspirus St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth with family by his side.

Randy was born in Superior on April 16, 1953, the son of Howard 'Bud' and Beverly (Eastman) Ayers.

He served his country with the US Navy and sailed aboard the USS Reclaimer. He had worked for many years at Pattison Park, including occasionally manning the fire tower. He also was a skilled gunsmith and enjoyed working on guns.

Randy loved hunting, gardening, and his dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Cindy Smith of Cloquet, Donald (Susie) Ayers of Anchorage, Terry (Keri) Ayers of Foxboro, and Tim (Missy) Ayers of Minong; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family including a cousin, Garett Olson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St. with Pastor Michael Johnson as officiant.

Burial will be in Summit Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435. Pallbearers will be Becky Ayers, Jonathan Ayers, Timmy Ayers, Brian Ayers, Randy Wick, and John Livingston.
