Randy D. Vicklun, 59, of Superior, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Essentia Health – St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

Randy was born on December 7, 1965, in Superior, the son of Marlene (Aho) and Melvin Vicklun. On July 21, 1990, Susan Johnson and Randy were united in marriage at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior.

Randy was not a man of many words, but his actions spoke volumes.  He was known for his unwavering willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone.  His quiet strength and warm smile, brought comfort to many, and his selflessness inspired those around him.  Randy had a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals.  He believed in the power of small acts of kindness….

Randy loved his family, friends, and his dogs.  He looked forward to the weekends to go out to Solon Springs and spend time with family and friends.  He was the guy people went to when they needed help with anything.  You could always count on him, putting the needs of others above his own.

Though Randy may have left this world quietly, his legacy of kindness will resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.  He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Randy is survived by his wife of over 35 years, Susan; sons, Branden (Abbie Kukielka) and Corey (Kate Ackley) Vicklun; sisters, Jeanne, and Dawn Vicklun; brothers, Brian, and Daniel 'Spanky' Vicklun; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Jackson and Charlie.

A Celebration of Randy's Life will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th Street, Superior, from 3-5 p.m. with a time of sharing memories from 4:00-5:00 p.m.  A luncheon will follow the service in the reception hall.
