Ray A. Miller, 85, of Hawthorne, Wis. died Mon., Oct. 21, 2013 in the Middle River Health & Rehab. Center.
He was born Sept. 24, 1928 in Superior, Wis. to Annabelle (Meyer) and Clarence Miller and remained a lifelong area resident. He served his country during WW II in the U. S. Navy.
For 35 years he was employed as a painter for Stromquist & Sons and also the Painters Union Local No. 106. He was a member of the Brule River Sportsmen's Association.
Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Arlis Doolittle; three sons, Ray Jr., Gene and Alvin all of Hawthorne; grandchildren, Stephanie Rasmussen, Angela Skylondz and Arlee, Sarah, Ryan and Harley Miller; many great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bud Miller of Lake Nebagamon, Wis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
A Celebration Of His Life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 27th at the Road House, 9050 E. County Road B.
