Remigio Jimenez, 71 of Superior, WI died on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in his home.
He was born on May 6, 1951, in Sterling, IL to Florencia Cuellar and Placido Jimenez.
"Remi" as he was known by his friends was a US Air Force veteran of Vietnam serving 1971-72. He was employed as an electrician, working throughout the county over the years. Remi was a proud member of both the IBEW International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Tebala Shriners.
Remi loved to travel all over the US, and visited Central and South America, Europe, and Asia. Some of his talents included cooking, playing the piano and guitar.
Remi was preceded by in death by his parents and his brothers, Placido Jr. Jimenez, Victor Jimenez, and Lester Cantu.
Survivors include his son, Anthony (Courtenay) Jimenez; his sisters, Evelyn Jimenez-Goode, Elvia Jones, Minerva McCoy and Lily Jimenez-Sanchez and his former wife, Maria Shaffner.
Remi will be laid to rest in the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery in Spooner, WI on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, with full military honors.
