Richard C. Finckler, 75, of Superior, WI passed away in his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Richard was born January 23, 1951, to Dona (Rickell) and Claude Finckler in Superior, WI.

He was employed as the maintenance director for Grandma’s Corporation, retiring in 2025 after 50 years of employment.

Rick was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam era.

He married Barbara Larson August 12, 2016, in Superior, WI.

Rick enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Barbara, and she was always game for a “ride and dine.” He was a skilled woodworker who designed and built mission furniture and cabinetry. He enjoyed restoring antique furniture and clocks in his workshop. Rick and Barb also enjoyed antiquing on the weekends together. He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, quiet generosity, strong work ethic, and the love he had for his family and friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his father, Claude, his brother, Mike and his son, Joshua.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his mother, Dona Finckler; his sons, Jake (Arielle) Finckler and Kyle (Shannon Hynes) Finckler; his bonus children, Aimee Curtis, Adam (Tonja) Larson, Emily (Adam) Dimich, and Erik (Emma) Larson; his grandchildren, William and Thomas Finckler; Max, Jack and Isabel Curtis; Mascha and Allie Larson; Garrett and Gracie Dimich; his sisters, Debbie (Rick) West, Jackie (Jim Starrs) Finckler, and Andrea (Glenn) Meidl.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Rick's memory to CancerCare.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Grandma’s Restaurant in Canal Park.
