Richard A. Hart, 75, of Superior, died Friday December 15, 2023, at his residence.

Richard was born in Superior on August 17, 1948, the son of Howard and Ruth (Thomas) Hart. He graduated from Superior High School with the class of 1966.

He served his country enlisting in the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam. Following his service, he was a proud member of the American Legion.

He worked most recently in the warehouse at Jack Link's. He had also worked as a taxi driver, a truck driver, and in the oil fields of Oklahoma. Richard enjoyed fishing, grilling, and watching movies.

He was part of the 1965 American Legion Baseball Team that won state and was elected to the Superior Athletic and Academic Hall of Fame class of 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kris Hart.

Richard is survived by his sons, Rawlin (Angela) Hart of Superior and Rik Hunter of Hixon, TN; and grandchildren, Devan Day, and Allison Hart.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 11th at 1:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior with Military Honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435. A Celebration of Life will follow from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 66 E 5th St., Superior.
