Richard K. Hess' Obituary
Richard K. Hess, 58, of Superior, died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his residence.
He was born November 23, 1954 in Duluth, son of Theodore and Joyce (Mencel) Hess.
Richard proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force for 4 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying swimming, fishing, and racing. He was always there to help someone in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In addition to his years with the Air Force, Richard worked for Jeno's and various logging firms.
Survivors include his daughters, Candi Hess, Sauk Rapids, MN, and Heather Durham, Sartell, MN; 3 grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Larry) Pesola, Lakeville, MN; brothers, Ronald Hess, Superior, and Doug Hess, Lakeville, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Friday, August 2, 2013 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior
Military rites will be accorded, at the funeral home, by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post #435.
