Richard "Rick" J. Browen's Obituary
Richard J. "Rick" Browen, 54, of Superior, died Monday, October 17, 2011, at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1957 in Moorhead, Minnesota, son of Ivan and Donna (Donovan) Browen.
On January 31, 1976 in Superior, Richard J. Browen and Monica R. Kiminski were united in marriage.
Rick and Monica attended Holy Assumption Catholic Church and St. Williams Catholic Church.
For many years, Rick worked as a truck driver for L.M.E.
Rick was a quiet man with many friends.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, as well as watching football and baseball. There was no one that he enjoyed doing things with more than his friend of 37 plus years – Mike Foerst. However, his greatest love was being with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family and ALL who had the privilege of knowing him.
Preceding him in death were his father, Ivan Browen; and brother, Donald Browen.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, Monica, he is survived by his son, Jeremy (Katie) Browen, Foxboro; daughter, Amy (Eric) Eliason, Superior; grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Carter and Ethan; mother, Donna Browen, Burtrum, MN; sisters, Audrey Browen, St. Cloud, MN, Raelene (Myron) Minkel, Rice, MN, Paula (LeRoy) Kiminski, Superior, and Marilyn Browen, Melrose, MN; brothers, Terry Browen and Jon (Laurie) Browen, both of Burtrum, MN; father-in-law, Raymond Kiminski, Superior; sister-in-law, Linda (Burt) Hunter, Wrenshall, MN; brothers-in-law, Tom (Darla) Kiminski, Maple, WI, and John Kiminski, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home, with Reverend Father Ronald Olson officiating.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
Active pallbearers will be Jeremy Browen, Eric Eliason, Michael Foerst, Chad Lyons, Terry Browen and Jon Browen. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Johnson, Jim Fender, John Tuomi, Ronald Kiminski and Carter Eliason.
