Richard "Dick" L. Miner, 76, of Superior, died Friday, August 16, 2019 at Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.

He was born March 19, 1943 in Superior, son of Jack and Evelyn Miner.

On October 1, 1964 in Superior, Jeanette Rixman and Richard Miner were united in marriage.

Dick worked many years as an operator for Continental Grain Elevators in Superior and retire from Hole in the Wall Casino in Danbury, Wisconsin.

Dick's interests and talents were numerous. He loved music, especially when he could sing and play as lead guitarist. His love of music and the various arts included his ability as an artist.  He also enjoyed using his hands to fix or repair just about anything, notably his skill as a woodworker. Sports was another part of his life and cheering for all the Wisconsin sports teams, was another one of his interests. However, his greatest love was his family and being able to spend time with them was his priority.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Jack, Norman, Charles and Warren; and sisters, Jean and Joyce.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 55 years, Jeanette; sons, Jerry (Stacey) Miner, Superior, Tom Miner, Superior, and Tony (Suzy) Miner, Danbury, WI; grandchildren, Casey, Nathan, Corey, Marisa and Timika; great-grandchildren, Harley, Zion, Aryah, and soon to arrive, Colton; sister, Sharon (Jerry) Colton, Poplar, WI; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. service, Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19 ^th Street, Superior, with Gary Banker officiating.

Following the service, the family invites everyone to a luncheon at the Elks Club.
