Richard 'Ric' S. Adrihan, 72, of Superior, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Ric was born in Superior on March 21, 1953, the son of Richard J. and Gloria (Heglund) Adrihan. He graduated from Superior Senior High School with the class of 1971. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and proudly served his country from 1971-75.

Following his military service, Ric became a firefighter for the City of Superior in 1977. He later transferred to Grand Forks FD, and retired from the East Grand FD in 1998 as Assistant Chief. In retirement, upon returning to Superior, WI, he worked for Schwan's sales where he built many relationships.

Ric was known for his story telling and sense of humor. He was an avid Green Bay Packers Fan, a devoted deer hunter, and huge Elvis Presley enthusiast. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Knezevich; father and stepmother, Richard and Cleo Adrihan; infant brother, Scott; infant granddaughter, Madison Mae; stepsister, Sandy Wasserman; and stepbrother, Michael Wasserman.

Ric is survived by his former wife, Gail Adrihan, the mother of his children, whom he remained good friends with until the end; sons, Jasin Lach (Alisha) and Juston (Amy) Adrihan both of Superior; granddaughters, Paige Lach (Jake)  and Faith Lach (Harry), and Ellen Adrihan; sister, Robin Adrihan of Pheonix; brother, John (Lori) Adrihan of Minong; stepsister, Debra Barazi of Superior; canine companion Max, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Ric's Life will be held on Friday May 2nd from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Downs Life Celebration Center, 1902 N 34th St., Superior.

A private family service will be held, and interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.
