He had a special gift with babies and animals, earning the affectionate nickname “the Baby and Animal Whisperer.” He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his family. A devoted sports fan, Dick was especially known for his unwavering loyalty to the Green Bay Packers.
Dick’s life was defined by his faith, kindness, dedication to family, and love for the simple joys of life. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is also survived by his siblings, Harvey Hubbard, Dan (Karen) Stephens, and Cheryl (Vern) Schmidt.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Virginia Hubbard; and his brothers, Lee Stephens, George Stephens, and Jack Stephens.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at Iron River Cemetery in Iron River, Wisconsin, on July 18 at 11:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the VFW Post 10197, 8265 US Hwy 2 in Iron River.
