Ricky J. Hogan, Sr., 59, of Superior, died Friday, November 4, 2016, at his residence.


He was born August 6, 1957, in Superior, son of Earl and Jeanette (Fernquist) Hogan.


Ricky was a boilermaker and welder for Barko Hydraulics and Fraser Shipyards, before working as a truck driver.


Some of his interests included bike riding, hunting, fishing, watching stock car racing and tinkering in his garage.


Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl and Jeanette Hogan; and brother, Edward Hogan.


Survivors include his daughter, Amy Hogan, Proctor, MN; sons, Ricky Jr., Proctor, MN, and Mark (Jill) Hogan, Hermantown, MN; 4 grandchildren, Brandyn, Jaiden, Aaliyah, and Marijah.


Private services will be held at a later date.


Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.


Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, is assisting the family with arrangements.
